Inspired by ancient history
Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba sign Let it Be, a sofa that celebrates the Beatles' iconic song by translating its relaxed spirit into a project with an essential and sophisticated design. Inspired by the ancient Roman triclinium, Let it Be develops as a versatile modular system, able to adapt naturally to different configurations and enhanced by functional elements such as integrated shelves and storage units. Its aesthetics play on a perfect balance between lightness and materiality: the refined and essential structure seems to suspend the soft feather cushions on thin leather strips, creating an airy and dynamic visual effect.
Meticulous attention to detail emerges in the visible stitching, which recalls the craftsmanship of luxury upholstery, while the recessed foot, hidden from view, amplifies the sensation of suspension, making the seats float in space. The purity of the lines meets craftsmanship, resulting in a sofa of informal elegance, perfect for sophisticated and contemporary environments, where design merges with the pleasure of relaxation.
