Armchair Martha

Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau, the Martha armchair embodies a light and sophisticated elegance, defined by a fluid and harmonious silhouette. Its curved backrest, delicately upholstered, seems to hover in the air, a sensation of suspension made possible by a refined concealed fastening system that ensures its stability without weighing down its line. The structure is supported by a wooden trestle with a triangular cross-section, a detail that slims the armchair's profile and emphasises its dynamic design. The harmony between materials and colours is a distinctive feature of Martha: the exterior of the shell, wrapped in Saddle Extra leather, contrasts with the interior, which can be customised in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, creating a fascinating material contrast. The handcrafted visible stitching, made with contrasting thread, enhances the meeting of textures and volumes, adding a sartorial touch. A soft seat cushion, removable and available in both leather and fabric, completes the composition, offering refined and enveloping comfort.
