Mutina presents the new ceramic collections

At its headquarters in Fiorano Modenese, Mutina hosted a special event featuring two iconic figures of contemporary design and art: Ronan Bouroullec, with the project Variations on Ceramics, and Nathalie Du Pasquier, with the exhibition Coppie di Fatto e Altro.

Aria, Adagio Outdoor e Motivo: nuove prospettive per i rivestimenti ceramici

During the event, Mutina unveiled three new collections – Aria, Adagio Outdoor and Motivo – which enrich the section dedicated to Wall Installations, inaugurated in 2024 with Adagio.

These projects continue the exploration of decorative ceramic coverings understood as architectural installations, capable of interacting with light and creating plays of three-dimensionality and vibration. Among the most anticipated innovations is Motivo, designed by Ronan Bouroullec, which takes inspiration from traditional wooden boiserie and reinterprets it in a contemporary key through ceramic material. A modular system composed of flat elements and slats, available in neutral shades as well as more vibrant hues, it expands the possibilities for customizing ceramic walls in both residential and contract spaces.

With Aria, Adagio Outdoor and Motivo, Mutina reaffirms its commitment to research and innovation, offering solutions that redefine the aesthetic and functional boundaries of design ceramics. Each collection becomes an opportunity to explore new expressive possibilities, where lightness, absence, and matter engage in dialogue with contemporary architecture. The initiative narrated the evolution of a profound dialogue between Mutina and Bouroullec, built over the years together with Massimo Orsini, the company’s CEO, and founded on a shared vision: to transform design ceramics into a language capable of combining research, poetry, and material.
