In the heart of the Aventine Hill, in Rome, a kitchen project takes shape that interprets contemporary elegance through pure volumes and sophisticated materiality. Artex is the kitchen for the most exclusive interiors: expansive surfaces and essential geometries leave room for the expressive power of materials, enhanced by the tailored craftsmanship of the door. The 45-degree cut creates a seamless junction between elements, combining ergonomics and formal rigor in impeccable balance.
Compositional harmony
The columns and base cabinets in solid thermally treated oak define the architecture of the space with a warm, structured presence, while the central island in glossy moka lacquer introduces a refined chromatic contrast. The wall units — two in glossy moka lacquer and two central glass units, both with flap openings — lighten the composition, engaging in dialogue with the shaker noticeboard in embossed moka lacquer. The plinth, in metallic copper lacquer and embossed moka lacquer, completes the design with a technical detail of strong character. The appliance selection reinforces the project’s high-end positioning: five-burner gas cooktop and dishwasher by Gaggenau, Dornbracht Tara Ultra mixer tap with pull-out spray in matte platinum finish, and undermount sink by Barazza. Each component is chosen to integrate discreetly within the whole, enhancing visual continuity and the tactile quality of the surfaces. A kitchen conceived as a space for representation and conviviality, where design and functionality coexist in a coherent synthesis.
