In the heart of wood
Wood is the distinctive feature and the undisputed protagonist of Riva 1920. Cedar, poplar, kauri, briccole, maple, cherry, oak, walnut, elm ... Every essence is selected and used for its specific qualities, always with the utmost respect for environment, reforesting or recovering logs fallen following natural events or felled due to planned cuts, carried out for safety reasons.
The Kauri, known as "the lord of the forest", with its 45,000 years of history is certainly the oldest and gives off a timeless charm and inimitable vigor. Famous for its inebriating scent, cedar is used for refined collections of hand-finished furniture, without adding any treatment, in which any cracks and changes are its own and essential characteristic, synonymous of originality and authenticity.
The Italian poplar wood, native of Piemonte region, is intended for multilayer (or blockboard) panels to complete the soul of the furniture that is finely crafted in every detail. The Briccole are the oak wood poles that guide boats in the lagoon of Venice. When the sea consumes them, Riva 1920 gives them a second life, transforming them into exclusive pieces of furniture, capable of transmitting unique emotions.
