Flexform was born in Meda in the sixties, in the beating heart of Brianza. Its story is the story of a family that, starting from the founders, the Galimberti brothers, continues for three generations of business owners. L’azienda produce solo ed esclusivamente nel suo quartier generale a Meda e si affida a quel “sapere delle mani” tipico della tradizione artigianale e manifatturiera lombarda. Per i suoi prodotti, Flexform utilizza materiali di massimo pregio, in modo da poter ottenere qualità e bellezza indiscusse e per rendere i suoi prodotti lontani da mode passeggere ed in grado di suscitare nuove ed intense emozioni.

Flexform ha collaborato con i più importanti designer del settore: Asnago-Vender, Sergio Asti, Cini Boeri, Joe Colombo, Paolo Nava, Rodolfo Bonetto, William Lansing Plumb, Gigi Radice, Guido Rosati, Carlo Colombo, Giulio Manzoni... Da quarant’anni Antonio Citterio coordina le collezioni dell’azienda interpretando al meglio i suoi valori. Architetto, regista, deus ex machina, per Flexform ha creato la poltroncina A.B.C. che è stata selezionata all’ADI Design Index del 2015 ed ha ottenuto la menzione d’onore al XXIV Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI.

“Effortless Style”

Effortless style is the expression that Flexform usually uses to define the persoality of its collections: a proposal of soft environments, characterized by light colors and linen fabrics, cotton and cashmere in neutral tones like ivory, warm gray or leather, tobacco and dove-gray leathers. Alongside the famous production of refined and comfortable upholstered furniture, the company also produces chairs, tables and elegant storage furniture, along with other furnishing accessories for the sleeping area. “Every sofa is a constellation of different functions” - says Antonio Citterio. The sofa for the designer is a tactile and visual experience, an enveloping place where you can be relaxed surrounded by a world of familiar objects.
