Sustainability
Elmar makes sustainability one of the pillars of its corporate identity, adopting a responsible and environmentally friendly approach at every stage of the production process. This commitment is reflected in the careful selection of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials, the control of emissions and the adoption of renewable energy sources to minimize environmental impact.
The majority of materials used in Elmar’s kitchen systems are 100% recyclable, and around 70% come from suppliers within a 100 km radius of the company, reducing the impact of transport. The use of a photovoltaic system covers 60% of the company’s energy needs, contributing to the reduction of indirect emissions. In addition, the furniture structures are made of ecological Idroleb panels with low formaldehyde emissions and LED lighting to minimize consumption.
For more than ten years, Elmar has been collecting and disposing of processing waste in a controlled manner and optimizing the volumes of its products during transport, thus ensuring a careful and environmentally friendly production chain.
@HOME SYSTEM, designed by C+S Architects of Carlo Cappa and Maria Alessandra Segantini, reinterprets the kitchen as a living space. Thanks to the careful choice of materials, light and technology, @HOME SYSTEM extends the function of the kitchen by creating new relationships between spaces and their inhabitants, transforming it into a welcoming and connected environment.
Successful meetings
Elmar collaborates with high profile designers such as Ludovica Serafini+Roberto Palomba and the C+S Architects studio to create innovative collections that combine aesthetics and functionality. The EL_01, Playground and Slim collections by Serafini and Palomba meet the need for versatility, while C+S Architects has developed @HOME SYSTEM and SKIN SYSTEM, two systems that interpret the kitchen as a convivial and customizable space, representing the Italian lifestyle in balance between tradition and innovation.
